Hypnotherapy is a great tool for changing negative thoughts and behaviors.

In a wonderful association with coaching, we work together even further down in the mind and create significant positive changes. It is a method by which you can interact with the critical and protective part of the mind and thus achieve increased susceptibility to positive changes.

A hypnotic state is a completely natural state in which the changes come by working with the subconscious mind. Almost everyone can achieve a state of increased susceptibility (hypnosis.)

You are by no means "gone" when you are in hypnosis because you are constantly in full consciousness. You still have full control over yourself, can talk to me and get up from the chair if you wish.

I work for you to have a more fulfilling life and grow as a person. There must therefore be a balance between 4 aspects in your life.

The mental, the spiritual, the emotional and the physical. Advice like this you may have heard before, but an interesting angle is that it is about redirecting energy from where you are strongest to where you need to be strengthened. That way, you create balance without increasing the pressure on yourself.

How does it Work?

Each session takes 1.5 hours (90 minutes) to 2 hours (120 minutes).

The session is built around a relaxed conversation, hypnotherapy and a short summary after the hypnosis. In the 1st session, we thoroughly review how we work in the process and describe the hypnosis itself. So you can feel ready and safe.

Why does it work?

Hypnotherapy can be an effective method for coping with stress and anxiety. In particular, hypnosis can reduce stress and anxiety before a medical procedure, such as a breast biopsy, visit to the Dentist and many other cases.

Hypnosis has been studied for many other conditions, including:

  • Pain Control. Hypnosis may help with pain due to burns, cancer, childbirth, irritable bowel syndrome, fibromyalgia, joint problems, dental procedures and headaches.
  • Hot flashes. Hypnosis may relieve symptoms of hot flashes associated with menopause.
  • Behavior change. Hypnosis has been used with some success in the treatment of insomnia, bed-wetting, smoking, and overeating / weight loss.
  • Over Coming Fears and Anxiety. Like a visit to the Dentist etc.
  • Dental Fear and Anxiety.
  • Fear of Exams (Exam stress)
  • Mental health conditions. Hypnosis may help treat symptoms of anxiety, phobias and post-traumatic stress. PTSD
  • Obsessions - Obsessive Behaviour.
  • Anger Management. (Passive Aggressive Behaviour)
  • Abuse and Abused.

What are the Risks?

Hypnosis conducted by a trained therapist or health care professional is considered a safe, complementary and alternative medical treatment. However, hypnosis may not be appropriate in people with severe mental illness.

Adverse reactions to hypnosis are extremely rare, but may include:

  • Headache
  • Drowsiness
  • Dizziness / Falling asleep
  • Anxiety or distress

Be cautious when hypnosis is proposed as a method to work through stressful events from earlier in life. This practice may cause strong emotions and can risk other problems that may cause anxiety. However your therapist can help you through it.sky

How do you prepare?

You don’t need any special preparation to undergo hypnosis. But it’s a good idea to wear comfortable clothing to help you relax. Also, make sure that you’re well-rested so that you’re not inclined to fall asleep during the session.

Choose a therapist or health care professional who is certified to perform hypnosis. Seek a recommendation from someone you trust or a medical professional. Learn about any therapist you’re considering. Start by asking some simple questions:

  • What is their life background / history?
  • Are they certified to practice by a national or recognised body?
  • How much training have they had in hypnotherapy?
  • How long have they been in practice?
  • What are the fees?

What you can expect?

I will explain the process of hypnosis and review your treatment goals. Then I will typically talk in a gentle, soothing tone and describe images that create a sense of relaxation, security and general well-being.

When you’re in a receptive state, I will suggest ways for you to achieve your goals, such as reducing pain or eliminating cravings to cover / reduce addictions such as smoking, drug use etc..

As your therapist I may also help you visualize vivid, meaningful mental images of yourself accomplishing your goals.

When the session is over, I will bring you out of the hypnosis and end your state of relaxation.

Contrary to how hypnosis is sometimes portrayed in movies or on television, you do not lose control over your behavior while under hypnosis. Also, you generally remain aware of and remember what happens during hypnosis.

You may eventually be able to practice self-hypnosis, in which you induce a state of hypnosis in yourself. You can use this skill as needed for instance, after a chemotherapy session.

Results / Benefits

While hypnosis can be effective in helping people cope with pain, stress and anxiety, cognitive behavioral therapy is considered the first line treatment for these conditions. Hypnosis may also be used as part of a comprehensive program for quitting smoking or losing weight. (Hypnosis offers many proven benefits for these and many others!)

Hypnosis isn’t always right for everyone, though. For example, you may not be able to enter a state of hypnosis fully enough to make it effective. Some therapists believe that the more likely you are to be hypnotized, the more likely it is that you’ll benefit from hypnosis.

This is commonly referred to as receptive to suggestion or non receptive. It usually takes two or more sessions to begin seeing the benefits.  See Testimony Page link here!

I receive either cash payment or payment via mobile pay / PayPal. It is settled before each session.

My simple mission is to "Help People in need". In these depressing times many people are suffering with everyday problems that may continue to poor mental health now or in the future.

Some people may not even be aware of it.  So it may take friends and family to help by speaking out and suggesting a therapist session as a "discovery session", in a friendly relaxed atmosphere.
